Alfonzo is a great young man. His approximate date of birth is in October xxxx. Unfortunately, he was hit by a car and was injured pretty badly. He had a broken hip and femur, along with an injury to his right eye. Luckily, his eye has completely healed with no damage! His hip/femur injury was far more serious. The vet needed to do a FHO (femoral head & neck osteotomy) surgery on his back right leg. This is when the vet removes the head & neck at the top of the femur that forms the hip joint. As scar tissue builds up, a false joint is formed, allowing the cat to walk, run and jump pretty much as any other cat can. As you can see in the pictures, all of his hair had not grown back but it has now, and you can't even tell he had a surgery! He is a super sweet and loving boy. He loves to be draped over your shoulder! He is extremely playful and can get pretty wound up and display an "at-ti-tude" on occasion. For that reason, we are recommending him be with older children. He loves to play with other cats but, again, gets a little wound up and ambushes them. Luckily, he learns his lessons pretty well and soon learns to play more fairly. He would adjust to a cat friendly dog with little trouble. This boy is an active and on the move cat! Are you ready for him?? Well...get ready, because he is ready for you!
