George Forman had been a stray cat in a Muncie neighborhood for years. Recently, one of the kind people who fed him noticed a jaw injury and called ARF asking for medical help. We took in this big sweetie and quickly got him to the veterinarian. All of the skin had been torn off one side of his jaw and had to be reattached. George took one on the chin but is now fully recovered and ready to be spoiled. He would do best in a quiet home with no small children or loud noises. Adopting two kittens together is beneficial for you and for the kittens - they keep each other company and learn appropriate limits to wrestling and nipping with each other, interacting with you in a calmer and more loving way. The adoption fee includes: spaying or neutering; a feline leukemia & FIV test; age-appropriate vaccines including rabies vaccine for those over 6 months; general deworming and ear cleaning; blacklighting and first dose of heartworm & flea control. We generally allow kittens to go home after they reach 12 weeks of age and are big enough to be spayed or neutered. You are welcome to make an application on a specific kitten prior to that.
